Happy 2013...
Just finished running the numbers for 2012 in South Walton zip codes 32459 and 32413 which encompasses all of 30A up to the Bay, here they are;
• Sale of single Family Homes in South Walton has increased from 861 in 2011 to 1121 in 2012, a +30% increase. Prices went from an average $567,643 in to $523,972 a -7.7% decrease.
• Vacant land sales have increased from 705 transactions 2011 to 925 in 2012 an increase of +31%. Price increased from an average $158,918 to $218,174 an increase of +37%.
• Sales of Condos have gone from 339 in 2011 to 318 in 2012 a -6% decrease. Prices went from average in 2011 of $339,745 to $368,697 a +8.5% increase.

I look forward to another great year along 30A, and if the New Year weekend was an indication we are going to be booming, my sources at vacation rental agencies say the phone and emails for new bookings are higher than ever. The future looks bright here at the beach.
For you music lovers, especially folk and country, the annual 30A Song Writers Festival kicks off Jan. 18 with over 125 artists including Mary Chapin Carpenter, Lucinda Williams and Nancy Griffith. Laurel and I always volunteer to help out so hopefully we will see you there.
